Climate change adaptation model

Since 2021, the Pitztal has been proud to be an official climate change adaptation model region (KLAR!). In close cooperation with the Austrian Climate and Energy Fund and the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Energy, Mobility. Innovation and Technology (BMK), we are actively committed to a sustainable future for our valley.
The main objective of KLAR! Pitztal is to mobilize and bring together relevant stakeholders in order to identify the effects of climate change and develop concrete adaptation measures. Particular attention is paid to raising awareness and developing a regional adaptation concept.

KLAR! Program

The vision is clearly defined: We want to proactively and sustainably shape the future, strengthen the resilience of the Pitztal and enable our residents to live a good life.

We are currently in phase 2 of KLAR! Pitztal, in which we are implementing the measures developed to adapt to climate change. These include, among other things:
