Compulsory winter equipment for cars

Between 1st November and 15th April it is compulsory to carry winter equipment in cars. In wintry driving conditions, cars can only be driven if all four tyres are fitted with snow chains, at least two driving/traction wheels. Snow chains are only permitted if the roads are completely or nearly completely covered in snow and ice.
