Sustainable development

The Pitztal Regional Economic Program (RWP) is a pioneering initiative that puts the valley at the heart of sustainable development. With its rich history and deep connection to nature, the Pitztal is one of the most authentic regions in Tyrol.
The program aims to provide significant impetus for sustainable development by supporting projects with funding. Particular attention is paid to the tourism sector, a mainstay of the regional economy in the Pitztal. The aim is to strengthen competitiveness and increase the quality of employment.

A central focus is on securing the innovative strength of the Pitztal, taking into account economic, social and ecological aspects. Long-term investments are aimed at ensuring sustainable development . Since its introduction in 2017 and the start of implementation in 2018, the program has focused on four main measures:

Future development

Imst Regional Management was commissioned by the province of Tyrol to develop and implement the program in order to ensure that the needs and potential of the Pitztal are optimally exploited. This will ensure sustainable, future-oriented development.
