Hey, did you know that Arzl in Pitztal is home to some of Austria's most successful winter athletes? Ski star and Olympic champion Benjamin Raich lives here with his wife Marlies Raich, a serial slalom winner, and their three children in Leins. Benjamin discovered his passion for skiing on the Hochzeiger and on the Pitztal Glacier.
The exceptional climber and world champion Angy Eiter also comes from Arzl and started her career here. Love also brought Nordic combined skier Mario Stecher, an Olympic and world champion, to Pitztal. Mario lives with his wife Carina and their two children in Leins.
Not forgetting the three-time deep snow world champion Georg Höllrigl, who lives in the small hamlet of Timls in Arzl. Arzl in the Pitztal is not only a picturesque village, but also home to many outstanding athletes.
