Plan P projects in Pitztal - Mobility
Digital traffic information
A digital display board is to be set up at the entrance to the valley or in the commercial area of Arzl to provide early information about road closures and traffic problems on the L16 Pitztaler Landesstraße. In this way, traffic measures can be implemented in good time.
Mobility solution Hochzeiger
A feeder lift from Niederdorf, Jerzens, is intended to relieve the winding road to the Hochzeiger ski and hiking area. It serves as a safe transportation solution for visitors, bundles individual traffic and enables a smooth journey with coaches.
Mobility solution Wenns
The L16 Pitztal state road between Wenns and Jerzens is increasingly affected by natural hazards . Long-term measures such as tunneling under the section of road are necessary, for example, to ensure safety and access for medical care and tourism in the Innerpitztal valley.
Development of the Pitztal Glacier
To ensure competitiveness , we want to modernize the Pitztal glacier lifts with the construction of the Linke Fernerjochbahn and an above-ground feeder line to replace the Glacier Express. These measures are intended to extend the length of stay of our guests and promote economic development in the Innerpitztal.
Multimodal transportation hub Imst-Pitztal railroad station
We want to turn the Imst-Pitztal train station into a central transport hub with optimized train and bus timetables and expand it with new sharing services. The "last mile" into the valley should also be improved to enable an environmentally friendly and efficient journey by public transport.
Efficient public e-charging infrastructure
We want to promote electromobility in the Pitztal Valley by setting up a high-performance public e-charging infrastructure with AC and DC charging stations. This sustainable solution should increase the attractiveness of the region for environmentally conscious guests and should also support the regional energy transition.
Efficient public transport
To promote sustainable mobility, public transport services in the Pitztal are to be expanded. Attractive public transport reduces private transport, lowers CO2 emissions and protects nature. In addition, the vision is to introduce an e-car sharing service, partly financed by parking space management.
Valley cycle path Pitztal
The Pitztal Valley Cycle Pathis to be extended throughout and connects the valley with the Imst-Pitztal railroad station and the Inn Valley Cycle Path. The route should not only offer breathtaking nature, but also cultural stops and gastronomic highlights. Ideal for e-bikes and cyclists who want to actively discover the Pitztal.
