Lake Rifflsee

There are several well-marked ascent options directly from the valley floor. The shortest but steepest ascent is via Hirschtal (approx. 1 hour). Other options are the panorama trail with a walking time of approx. 1.5 hours, or via a well-marked track from Mandarfen to the Taschach Alm and then directly to the lake (approx. 2.5 hours). The easiest way to reach the lake Rifflsee is to take the gondola lift. You can also use this as a knee-friendly option for the way down.
The Sunna Alm at the top station of the gondola lift and the Riffelseehütte, which is located slightly below the lake at 2,289 metres, or the Taschach Alm near the valley are ideal places to take a break in the beautiful surroundings. In winter, the lake Rifflsee can only be reached by cable car.
