Kaunergrat Circular Route
The original nature park Kaunergrat can now be explored on long distance hiking trails lasting several days. The starting point of the seven-day tour is the Nature Park House at Gachenblick on the Piller Höhe. From there it is a five-stage tour with a continuous signposting, partly on tranquil alpine meadow paths, partly on high alpine paths around the ridge of the Kaunergrat. You will spend the night on simple alpine pastures and refuges along the marked route. If you are prepared to face the entire round tour, you should have stamina for daily stages of seven hours on average. But as a reward, lonely paths in unspoilt nature, clear mountain lakes, powerful green herb meadows and rustic huts with warm Tyrolean hospitality await active hikers.
