Be our guest at Jerzner Alm
Only a five minute walk to the gondola mountain station, Tanzalm is located at 1,980 metres right next to the ZirbenPark, the circular pine tree nature trail. Tanzalm, also known as Jerzner Alm, offers a sun terrace with panoramic views surrounded by mountain meadows, social farmhouse-style parlours and Pitztal hospitality. You can also stay here overnight during the summer. Enjoy Tyrolean dishes and regional farm produce after a days’ hiking or mountain biking. Children love our pets corner at Jerzner Alm.
Remarkable: Austria’s first milk pipeline
Tanzalm was built in 1957 and has been continuously extended and modernized since. During the summer months approximately 70 cows graze on the alpine pastures of Hochzeiger and their cowsheds are also at Tanzalm, where they are looked after. A speciality at Jerzner Alm is our milk pipeline. Over 40 years ago the farmers of Jerzens built a milk pipeline down to Jerzens village. The underground milk pipeline is 3.5 kilometres long and the milk covers a 900 metre descent in only 30 minutes. In Jerzens, the milk is then taken straight to a dairy.
