From the starting point you walk in the direction of Oberpiller passing the Piller fishpond. After walking on the Rodelbahn [toboggan run in the winter] for a short while you will reach a steep path in the direction of the catered mountain hut Gogles Alm. At the next fork, turn off right until the steep path joins up with a forest track. Follow this track to get to the Gogles Alm. Enjoy the vista from this mountain and after the Gogles Alm, continue to walk, bearing left on a steep path to the summit cross of Glanderspitze. After this, walk along the ridge keeping right towards the Pillerkreuz (summit cross). To descend, retrace your steps for a few meters and then turn off left back to the Galflun Alm and then take a right towards Piller. This steep path forks off again to the right and then joins a path that takes you straight back to Piller.

From there, walk along the Venet-Rundwanderweg [circular route] to the catered mountain hut Galflun Alm. Once there, forest path takes you further to the catered mountain hut Larcher Alm. Just before the Larcher Alm a steep path forks off to the right towards Piller. This path joins a wide track, which will take you back to Piller.

Cross the road and walk along a beautiful forest path, then on a forest road for a short while and later across glorious Alpine meadows to the catered mountain hut Gogles Alm which you will approach from the back. Walk a few metres around the building to reach the main entrance and the stunning sun terrace. Return via the same route or walk down on the access road, which is longer but less steep.
Cross the road at the car park of Piller Moor and follow the Moor nature trail to the fountain. Once there, turn off into a beautiful steep forest path, then on a forest road for a short while and later across glorious Alpine meadows to the catered mountain hut Gogles Alm, which you will approach from the back. Walk a few metres around the building to reach the main entrance and the magnificent sun terrace. Return to your starting point via the same route.
Starting point: Plattenrainalm. From there walk in the direction of the catered mountain hut Venetalm (approx. 2 hrs). Continue further over the mountain ridge of the Venet, which affords fantastic panoramic vistas of the upper Inn valley, the Gurgltal and Pitztal valleys as well as the lower Inn valley all the way down to Telfs. After approx. 2 hrs you will reach Venet, where the path forks off in the direction of the cate red mountain hut Goglesalm. The three catered mountain huts Goglesalm, Galflunalm and Larcheralm each offer opportunities for a well-earned refreshment pit-stop. You may also wish to stay overnight on the Galflunalm or the Larcheralm. Continue your hike (possibly on the following day) in the direction of Audershof (approx. 1 hr walking distance from the
Larcheralm). After another 1.5 hrs you will return to your starting point at Plattenrainalm.
Walk along the forest road from the car park to the catered mountain huts Larcher Alm (1.5 hrs) Galfun Alm (2 hrs). Continue to walk for approx. 1 h on a steep path to reach the catered mountain hut Gogles Alm. Once there, a slightly steeper path forks off towards the Venet peak that can be reached within 2 hrs. Continue further on an easy walk along the mountain ridge of the Venet, which affords fantastic panoramic views of the upper Inntal, Gurgltal and Pitztal v alleys and the lower Inntal valley all the way down to Telfs. Walk for approx. 2.5 hrs to reach the catered mountain hut Venetalm. It takes approximately another hour to reach the catered mountain hut Puitalm am Plattenrain and another 1.5 hrs to return to your starting point in Audershof. Each ‘alm’ is very inviting should you wish to take a rest and if you wish to break up your hike you may also stay overnight at the Larcher-, Venet- or Puitalm am Plattenrain.
