Sport climbing in Pitztal is increasingly popular. Due to the introduction of quality standards by “Climbers Paradise”, a regional climbing association with more than 15 member regions, all climbing parks are in excellent condition. Pitztal is an ideal holiday destination for experienced climbers and sport climbing newcomers alike. The climbing parks “Richis´Wall” (Stillebach), “Gletscherstube” (Mittelberg) and “Kletterpark Hochzeiger” (Jerzens) are great for families. Climbing pros will find their match in the routes of “Klettergarten Hexenkessel” that can be accessed after a 30 minutes climb in the direction of the catered mountain hut “Rüsselsheimer Hütte”. There are also quite a few difficult routes in the "Unterwelt" climbing park. The access (approx. 5 minutes from the first parking possibility) and the shady location (also suitable on hot summer days) are an absolute plus point of this climbing park.
