Starting in Mandarfen, cross the bridge to the mountain rescue building and then turn right and follow the signpost to “Hirschtal über Panoramaweg”[Hirschtal valley via panoramic trail]. A steep path leads up the Hirschtal valley until you reach the fork Panoramaweg / Rifflseehütte. Turn left and follow the panoramic trail to the catered mountain hut Rifflseehütte. Once there continue to run via the Muttekopf, then a short while uphill on the ski slope until you reach the catered mountain restaurant Sunna Alm / top station of the Rifflsee gondola. Continue downhill to Rifflsee Lake and run around it, then keep right and run down towards the catered mountain hut Taschachalm. Once there, return to your starting point in Mandarfen following the easy agricultural road down the hill.

Hike to Riegetal

Starting point: gondola top station. From there, a wide and steep path leads to the Zollberg peak. On top of the Zollberg you will be able to enjoy beautiful glimpses of the Riegetal valley. A narrow steep path (partially secured with fixed ropes) leads down towards the valley. After mastering this difficult passage, a well prepared steep track leads down to the Riegetal valley all the way to the Groaßsee lake. You may see marmots, native salamanders, chamois and sheep on the way to the lake. A little further on, enjoy the crystal clear water of this mountain lake. To return, follow the path for a while and then take a steep path up to the Hochzeiger peak. After signing the summit register, follow the path downhill to the starting point.

Follow the valley hiking trail [Talwanderweg] from Wenns to Scheibe. This is an easy hike along the bottom of the valley, which repeatedly crosses the country road.

Hike to Söllbergalm

From the starting point, follow the agricultural road up towards the catered mountain hut Söllbergalm. Return via the same route.

Follow the route to the intermediate station until you reach the underpass. However, do not go through it and do not stay on the toboggan run but turn left next to piste no.9 instead – it’s an ascent through woodland terrain. Once you have reached the logging road of the Sechzeiger slope no.7 – follow it for approx. 200 m and then continue across a slightly hilly terrain through a small valley until you arrive just below the mountain station of the Sechzeiger ski lift. 
 

Gondola top station - Gemeindekopf (2,771 m) – Tiroler Jubiläumsweg [Tyrolean Jubilee trail] - Zaunhof

Starting point: gondola top station. From the starting point take the path to the Hochzeiger mountain towards the Groaßsee lake. At the lake, the path forks off to the right to the Hohe Gemeindekopf peak (2,771 m). From there, 
you may choose to descend via Kugleter See (lake), keeping to the right to get to the catered mountain hut Ludwigsburger Hütte and then continue to Zaunhof.
